Hi! ☺️

Welcome to my little corner on the internet! I’m Daphne, and I have been exploring the world solo for the last nine years. My goal is to inspire women to do the same and stop waiting for others to go with! Like, I missed Beychella (Beyoncé at Coachella) because I didn’t have anyone to go with. It likely will never happen again, and I missed it! I’m so mad at myself *deep sigh*. I like to ramble too, but anyway.

As a regular degular 9-to-5er working a job that I kinda hate, I like to share the actual costs of my travels, breaking down expenses to give you a realistic view of what it takes to get there. This blog is an honest account of everything I’ve learned and experienced throughout my journey of all 50 states and over 45 countries. I hope that I can help you on your way , even if its a tiny bit 💛

How to Survive Traveling with Friends

Traveling with friends – it just seems like the best idea ever doesn’t it? You get along just fine at home, hanging out regularly and so on. Going on vacation with your friend and being together 24/7 is going to be FREAKING AMAZING right? I know I can’t be the only one, but those trips never seem to go as perfectly as planned. On my first trek through the rainforest in Costa Rica, there were two animals that I had hopes of seeing. Monkeys of course and the very…

Lollapalooza 2024, VIP is always Better.

Yes, you’ve read the title correctly. And yes, your’s truly was living the good life during Lollapalooza this past weekend. I went from crappy general admission tickets, followed by VIP and ultimately ended up in Platinum. It’s crazy because just last month in July, I snuck my way up to the front row seats at Essence Festival! This time around I didn’t have to look over my shoulder every two minutes, scared that security was gonna kick me out! In my previous post, I wrote about my first day at Lollapalooza in which…

Chicago, I Love You: My Lollapalooza Experience

It’s Tuesday. Lollapalooza was over on Sunday. And I’m still drunk.  IT WAS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.  The most amazing music festival that I’ve been to thus far! I don’t even know where to start! I guess the beginning will do…. I’m a live music concert kind of girl. I came out of the uterus loving live music. I suppose I could blame my mom for that. She was pregnant with me at a Prince concert. She even caught a towel he threw out in the audience. And yeah, she had to fight off a…
